We're heading to the West-end of Toronto for a fun community Yoga at High Park and catching up with some drinks at a near by bar after. This is a great opportunity to socialize with others in your community and treat your body to natured-based wellness.

About The Event

Calling all yogis and environmental professionals!

Come join us on the mat at High Park on Thursday, July 14 for a yoga class led by a yoga instructor, Sandy Pedrogao. Sandy's bio below! 

Studies have shown that spending time in nature, also referred to as "forest bathing", can have numerous benefits to our health, such as:

  • Increase feelings of calmness.
  • Increase endorphin levels and dopamine production (promotes happiness)
  • Restore capacity for concentration and attention.
  • Reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
  • Reduce irritability.
  • Lower blood pressure and reduce cortisol (stress hormone).

You will need to bring your own yoga mat (or blanket) and water.

We will meet at the High Park Picnic Site #23 (see map below).

We will then walk over to Sangria Lounge for some drinks.  

Yoga will have limited spots. Advanced registration is required.

Yoga Teacher Bio: 

Sandy Pedrogao is a graduate of the Yogaspace 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Her love of yoga began over 20 years ago, but these last two years have given her the opportunity to cultivate a daily yoga practice that has helped her to focus on her spiritual, mental and physical well-being. Sandy's goal is to help people find self love and acceptance on and off the mat. No matter what their physical ability, shape or size, they can learn to find union between movement and breath and learn to look inwardly when searching for peace and joy. Join her Hatha Yoga classes to let go of your day and to spend some time moving mindfully. Sandy teaches an Online Gentle Hatha Flow every Tuesday at 10am.
